Weekly Progress Report
Nov. 23rd thru Nov. 29th, 2008
Contractor: Energy Resources Inc.
Original Contract Time: 180 days
Estimated Volume: 127,286 cyds
Required Production Rate: 708 cyds/day
Time Remaining: 180 days
Volume Placed: 0 cyds

The following tasks were completed during the weeks of Nov. 23rd thru Nov. 29th:
- Dredge "Michael" arrived at Blind Pass on Monday, November 24th. Both
dredges are anticipated to work 6 days a week (Mon - Sat.) during daylight hours for the duration of the project.
- Vegetation clearing landward of Blind Pass Bridge was completed on
Wednesday, November 26th.
-The Contractor completed the installation of the GPS monitoring devices for the cutterheads on Wednesday, November 26th.
- Lee County and the Engineer notified the Contractor of overdue submittals on
Tuesday, November 25th. The Contractor provided some of the submittals on
Wednesday, November 26th.
- The Contractor stopped operations from Wednesday, November 26th thru Sunday, November 30th in observation of Thanksgiving.
The following tasks are anticipated during the week of Nov. 30th thru Dec. 06th:
- Dredging may begin as early as Tuesday, December 2nd for beach placement and Wednesday, December 3rd for nearshore placement.
- The Pre-construction surveys, the Contractor's QA/QC plan, and turbidity monitoring submittal are anticipated by Tuesday, December 2nd.
- Vegetation clearing operations seaward of the Blind Pass Bridge are anticipated to be completed by Tuesday, December 2nd.
- Construction of the steel sheet-pile containment cell is scheduled to begin by Friday, December 5th.
- One (1) additional load of pipe is scheduled for delivery on Monday, December 1.
The additional pipe will be fused and connected to Dredge "Michael" for
nearshore placement.
Outstanding and other Items to Note:
- The DEP, Ding Darling NWR, and Lee County will be planning public meetings
on Sanibel and in Ft. Myers to discuss a proposed "No Motor Zone" in Wulfert
Flats. The public meetings are anticipated to be scheduled in the months of
December and January.
